Some women are drinking in excess while pregnant; affects on those children

Women are advised not to drink alcohol while they are pregnant, but a new study says some expectant mothers not only disregard the advice, they drink in excess.
Every year, 40,000 babies are born with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), which is an umbrella term that includes fetal alcohol syndrome which can occur when a developing baby is exposed to alcohol consumed by his or her expectant mother. A study from Wayne State University's School of Medicine tried to unravel the learning problems of children born with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) which are poorly understood.
